there's an F20B FAQ on honda tech. Maybe its best to state what you want to do with this motor and what type of money you can spend. Just keep in mind some of its parts are not interchangable with other motors in the Honda/Acura family (even the H22). The title of your thread merely asks for our opinions in which case i'd say its a good motor. My brother has a stock internal F20B (manual trans version) with a camp1320 header in an EX coupe (EG) and it pulls very hard and is very responsive (hondata s300 in a P28) I am actually building a high compression 88mm bore F20B and going to run H2b (quaife equipped S4C) with lots of goodies attached (custom header, cams 3in exhaust, ported euro r manifold). but in the end its going to come down to what you want, and what you can afford

Project is almost done. Its H2B so i'd be using B series drivetrain parts (axles, trans, etc) Cams i'm using are Skunk2 Pro2. but for both the regular and H2b Harness is the stock civic harness (EX) lengthened to fit (its a Canadian chassis (VIN 2) so it has the vtec wires running in the car to the ecu so i dont have to run them down there or to the shock tower). extend wires here and there and thats it. Very few wires at that. On the F20b the driver side mount bracket has to be changed to the H22 one. A slightly larger hose that connects the FPR to the factory return line. Shifter and cables. Slimmer fan would be better as it would make it easier to bleed the clutch. Besides the mounts and axles there are several other things you need to swap it in there is a thread at the beginning of the Hybrid forum that explains it all.

look in the Hybrid forum. At the top is a section called H2B/F2B FAQ and Official H2B discussion thread. Its mating an H/F family motor to a B series transmission using an adapter plate. It allows you to keep the B series trans in its original location. It uses B series mounts, axles, flywheel (with a spacer or H2B specific flywheel like mine) starter, slave cylinder, intermediate shaft and rear t bracket. No cutting the hole for cables, no drilling or removing the trans bracket. Its all in the the FAQ. Heres the links

And while youre at it you can check out this thread for swapping an H (F20B as well) into Civic EG/EK
