CTR pistons (PCT) in a JDM ITR engine?
someone is trying to sell me some ctr pisotns. i have a jdm itr motor. i know the P30 pistons are no joke when you put them in a itr motor. but how about the ctr pistons?
ctr pistons will yeild around 11.7:1 or so check http://www.c-speedracing.com they have a cr calculator good luck
The calculator isn't accurate w/ those cams due to where they sit on the wrist pins as compared to other OEM pistons. You'll be higher than 11.7:1. You'll be in the low 12's:1. I run them in my b18c5, good tuning + smart driving will prevent any detonation problems. Of course, the cams you use will make a difference as well due to overlap.
