TSX or EVO?
I need a car w/ 4 doors for a daily driver and my 2 yr old son.
I am getting rid of my VW.
Should I get the evo because two fast cars simply aren't enough?
Or should I get the TSX because its practical, reliable, and more difficult to modify?
Not to mention the TSX's future residual value.
Or should I get the evo for every reason that it opposite of the TSX?
I am being greedy?
What would you do?
I am 34 yrs old and a complete nut when it comes to cars. I am keeping the eg and the dc2.

I'd go test drive both cars. I prefer the TSX over the Evo though, especially since you have a 2 year old. the TSX is quiet, more comfortable, offers navigation, comes in a optional six speed, and just looks plain badass

Any other time I would say the Evo( I'm 16). But practicallity considered it sounds like you need a TSX. If you get the urge to mod it, drop it on some 18 in Volks or something, and probably at that point FI options will be available for it. Get the TSX, and put more into your other cars that will go faster easier.
TSX is the most practical for your application, the EVO rides a little bit too rough and seems almost dangerously powered to transport kids.
TSX has way sufficient power and the best of comfort.

Get the Evo8. I bought one and love it!!! 4drs, 4wd, 4 piston brembos brakes, handles like a corvette and porche, will smoke a tsx anyday and get you to church faster!!! Btw the ride is too harsh at all. Thats the pay off for a awesome handling car. Take one for a test drive through some back roads. You will be amazes how responsive the steering and engine are. Tsx are alittle under powered and fwd. Now if the tsx was rwd. That would awesome!!! Just my opinion. I still love my honda as well
whats the big diffrence in the EVOlution RS and the EVOlution??
anywaise not to get off topic ...the TSX is very sick looking if ask me
drop some more money for the TL..... boom-bap!

I have a 3 yr old and he loves to ride on the Evo. He won't sleep because I always keeps him awake taking hard turns and WOT on freeway entrance. Oh well.. otherwise, he sleeps well on the van when he's with mommee!

I suggest you shouldn't.... because he'll laugh when he sees a TSX is really trying to race an Evo.

I know an Evo would kill a TSX because I own both. But why would a TSX even try and race an Evo though?

Idiots drive every type of car. I wouldnt suprised if a geo try to race an EVO. I would deffinetly pick the TSX. If you want a luxury car, Id suggest taking a look at either a new 04 TL, which is very nice, or even a 2003 TL. The 03 are very good cars, and if you want an extra umph, get the 03 Type S.

i hear mitsu voids warranties on the evo for almost anything...
also, the evo has horrible residual. Since not as many people who can afford a 30K car actually WANT the Evo, they are selling cheap now. I hear the going auction price for a lightly used one is ~22K.

i say you get a TSX since u already hav 2 fast cars n besides u should stay with honda
the tsx is a great daily driver, the navi is great and the handling is outstanding for a stock 4dr. but wen i was gettin my car i wanted a evo jsut cuz it was fast and im young but my parents made me get a tsx, but im glad i got the tsx much more luxurious!!

I agree with you on the fact that EVO's have horrible residual value and the fact that people who can afford a 30k car usually don't want to spend it on an econo car with AWD and a beefed up engine. When i was selling my EVO8 back in january, i was surprised at how much my evo8 depreciated after only a few months of ownership. If you buy the EVO, make sure you keep it for a long time to get your money's worth. The EVO MR is reportedly supposed to make its way to the states this coming fall as a 2005 model, you might want to wait out for that. With AYC and ACD, the evo will seriously handles like its on rails
.
Since you already have a modded EG and DC2, i would say get the TSX. Its such a refined vehicle and the ride is comfort is unbelievable. The TSX is hands down a better vehicle for a daily driver.

I totally agree, in the long run the Honda/Acura will not only last longer, but consider this, it doesnt have as many intricate parts as the EVO, and then to top it all off, its the european accord so you know that parts arent at a minimum, the EVO is a nice car but i wouldnt own a mitsu if you paid me, but the end decision is obviously yours, you just have to factor in what you'll do in your life for the next few years and base it upon that...

Yes! Someone finally mentioned the new TL in the same light as the TSX. I have no issues with the new TSX, I just wonder when all the TSX comparison questions come the TL is never mentioned. I understand the added costs, BUT it just seems like you're getting so much more.
