Need help!
I'm assuming you want to lower your car, but by how much? Springs may hurt your suspension and would recommend you rather go with coilovers if your willing to dish money for it. Then comes the question, what sorta ride/feel are you going for? Close to stock or stiff as a box? A-spec is pretty close to stock feel with a slight drop. Tein can get you pretty low but can make the ride feel stiffer. There are other good companies out there that have decent applications for the TSX, do some research and see what makes sense for you. I have a 2006 and bought myself a set of Tein SS coilovers.
Layd-tsx is my wife, anyways we were thinking springs would better( Tein S Tech). I was always told and even from my own experience that coilovers beat up your stock struts due to the harsh spring rates. Does anyone know the stock sping rates of a TSX 06?
Im not sure where you heard that coilovers beat up your stock struts but coilovers basically are springs on struts that in most cases come with an adjustable seat for height differentials. From what i know, your stock struts get replaced with coilovers. If you buy a spring set you are endangering you stock struts. Not exactly sure how harsh the Tein S Techs are on the struts but you can only hope that they hold up. Many people make the move of getting the more inexpensive spring sets for a quick suspension mod but in most cases I've heard people regreting it. Its your call on how you'd like to do your mod but you could possibly pay more in the end for it.
