Hello all,

Hopefully I posted this in the right place! Last week while I was sitting idle in traffic i noticed that the needle to the temp gauge would move up about mid way (where I painted the redline) and then drop. It did it a few more times and then when I began driving again, it went back to normal (where it is in the picture).

I actually just came back from the dealership and they did a pressure test to the cooling system and they found no leaks.

Anyone had this problem and know how to fix it?

That could be a sign of a bad thermostat. Did the dealership ever consider checking it?

 

So where it is now is normal right?

Hard to test a thermostat, basically you run the car with the cap off wait til it gets to temp and then look in the radiator to see if you see coolant flowing.

Does you cooling fan kick on? I am not super familar with tsx's, but with civic when it goes past half way up the cooling fan kicks on to bring the temp down.

Also don't rule out a bad radiator cap as well.
