Had a lot of trouble taking off the passenger side cv axle that wouldn't go in all the way. After finally prevailing I figured my issue might be the snap ring or lack of lube. Thoughts?

 

The snap ring on the end might be damaged but from the amount of rust it's possible it was just seized up. Just add some anti seize on the splines to ensure it doesn't seize up again. It's helpful to tell people exactly what car you have.

 

In order to easily pull that axle, it's best to use one of these. You will need to gently loosen the intermediate shaft cover bolts a lil to be able to get the puller attachment onto the shaft.

 

Its an acura tl 05, more trouble to put on then it was to take off. BUMP
