I personally love the NSX. I do see it as a supercar. The other day, I pulled up next to one at a stop sign, I said hi and gave him props for owning the only (to my knowledge) Acura that stock is faster than mine. Then we started talking about mods. Instead of arguaing about whos is better, we should just keep it chill and realize that all Honda/Acura cars are good. There are things that I like more about the GSR than my ITR, same goes for the CL and the RSX-S. All of which I am familliar with. Peace.

Oh yea, after I complimented on his car, he did the same for me. It felt good to have someone driving a $85k car compliment mine.

Maybe he owns one of yours, too.

Sibling rivalry pure and simple.

After all the Integra Type R was billed the NSX's "Little Brother!"

I guess you understand what WE ITR owners deal with then? EVERY DAMN DAY!!!

Thanks for the observation though. See ya on the Freeway Big Bro, He He He....

A.

I rev on those NSXs all the time just to see if

A) the guy can drive
B) To see how my relatively stock Type R does against an exotic car.

I would love to race an old NSX. I've never tried. I guess I have too much respect for them... I doubt I could keep with one, but it would be fun to try. Also I've never seen one under WOT.

But think about this, and let the flames roll...
91 NSX - 0-60 5.8 1/4mile 14.4
00 ITR - 0-60 6.2 1/4mile 14.8

Take into account 11 years of wear, worn clutch, etc and I would be it would be closer than you think.

It don't mean jack that you can beat an NSX in a straight line. Hell there are some cars that can beat the McLaren F1 in a straight line and that costs a million dollars. There's more to a car than speed.

The figures for the NSX above are from a test of a car with an automatic transmission, which appeared in Motor Trend 8/91. You don't really think it's fair to use an automatic NSX for comparison, do you? They're pretty rare, you know; 91 percent of all NSX's have a manual transmission.

Think about THIS:

91 NSX - 0-60 5.4 1/4 mile 13.7 (Source: Motor Trend, 12/90)
91 NSX - 0-60 5.03 1/4 mile 13.47 (Source: Sports Car International, 12/90)

And, of course, that NSX next to you might be one of the newer ones:

98 NSX - 0-60 4.5 1/4 mile 12.9 (Source: Car and Driver 7/98)

You're right. I didn't even realize they made NSX in auto. Yuck
Anyway, I did a quick search on mujen, and this is the first site I saw:
http://members.aol.com/jameslook/

Some of the 1995/96 NSX-T 0-60 were in the 6.4 second range!
But you're right, the new ones are fast as ****.
