Default VTEC problems

I installed a 00 jdm integra type r into my 94 civic si this weekend and am having some vtec problems. It sounds like the vtec is kicking in @ 5k like it should but it doesn't pull any harder. I think that it might be the back pressure on my exhaust because the where my old exhaust systems mates to the integra exhaust (under the firewall) we had to put a temporary connection (two bolts with big washers) so it leaks a pretty good bit. Does this sound like it could be the problem? Also am i going to need to get a bigger radiator? I would like to avoid putting in the integra one because i would have to lose my ac condenser.

How did you fit a complete car into the engine bay of your hatchback?

Do bears **** in the woods? Instead of getting everything in there at the speed of light in time for the weekend street races (g3y), you should do the job properly. Where did you aquire the engine?

Brandon - who didn't build his bottom end and got 0wn3d by his T3/T67
