Default Using the Type-R for what it was ment for!

About 2 weeks ago I attended a local autox with Chris, Bob#497, ThePunk, GSRgrrl, Geo Metro, YodaIsGod and a couple of other H-T members, very small course where I kept it in 2nd gear, Bob was doing the 2-1 shift that I still can't manage correctly...my peak hold monitor on the PowerFC was telling me that I was topping out at 84kph(52mph), short course, fairly technical, total lap time of 20-25, a total of 5 seconds seperated the 62 driver field...very wide variety of cars...here are the 2 picks that I have(really on 1)...just thought that I'd share it with everyone...oh and that's GSRgrrl(ThePunk's girlfriend and I think that she's hooked on autocrossing now) in the passenger's side.

Hey Austin!! That was a LOT of fun that day. I'm definietly regretting I didn't run my car, but maybe next time around I'll have some nice bfg's like ThePunk's on my car. I loved riding with you and ThePunk...of course my favorite moment was when you got your best time yet, and did the *YES!!! Pump arm jesture* lol

It was in Petaluma at the fairgrounds, about 40 minutes north of SF...they have about 6 per year, and there are some damn good drivers out there...hopefully in the next year or so we will be able to reaquire the use of the Sonoma County Airport...which would allow us much more room, and a 1/4 mile straight

which club/group host this event? how many runs do you get and how much is it?

i haven't autox in a while... i would if it's not too expensive and atleast 4-5 runs. 22 seconds only? damn that's a short track. yicks.

any of you run with AAS? i might head up to sacto to run a event there sometimes.

It was an ESCA event. Empire Sports Car Association. A local group here in Santa Rosa formed in the 70's. We will have a wep page up soon (I hope)

I see that little puff of smoke...btw ESCA was established on August 3, 1963, I think that Frank has been around since then.
