Default thoughts on walbro?

so ive been debating on wether or not i should get a walbro 255lph fuel pump..i have a built 2l and 440cc injectors with a s100 thats all being installed this week and im just wondering if the pump is a neccesity? ive heard they are kind of loud and whiney..anyone prove/disprove this using them in a R? would the stock fuel pump be adequate enough? if i dont have to change it out, id rather not, but will this hurt performance? i guess you guys can see what im worried about here, any answers would be great! thanks..

I have the walbro 195. Its noisy and would not restart from time to time when its hot. It has always restarted after 10 minutes. I have seen the R pump make 230+ at around 240 it could not hold fuel pressure.

I have the Walbro 255 in my car. The "whining" noise is a bit much for some passengers, but it's been in my car for so long that I don't even hear it anymore.

Same here. Mine works just fine, no problems. It is a little loud, but I never have a back seat in my car, so someone else may not think it is as loud.
The DSM guys say if you increase the voltage to the pump with thicker gauge wiring, it cuts down on the noise. I have just been too lazy to do it...

It also increases the flow capacity of the pump at higher pressures. On the DSMs, so they say, the voltage drops almost 3 volts by the time it gets to the pump...
