Spark plug gapping???
I've heard that 1-1.1mm is correct also. Any truth?
I just got my PFR6G-11's in the mail today. Can anyone tel me if they need to be gapped or not? I don't have a way of checking.
Thanks
James

I've always thought that Type R's use 1.3mm gaps (1.2 + or - .1 mm) from the factory, same as GSR's and SiR's. That relates to .051" . So 1.1mm (.044") would be on the low side of the spec.

A tip my dad told me:
Set the gap with a wire gauge. Not a sliding guage that can crack the electrode or the porcelian.
Honda's Civic come with 0.040 fresh from the factory. I'm not sure about the ITR's.

the Civic Si/R comes with 1.3mm plugs, as the last two digits of the plug code are 13, same spec as ITR and GSR, the SOHC Civics use 1.1mm plugs (last two digits of plug code are 11). There is also a label underhood that lists the spec range.
