SPARK PLUG
We tried the Bosch 4227 plugs, according to what Larry at Endyn told me.
This was going in a ITR motor w/ 12.2:1 RollerWaves. The owner was happy with the performance of the plugs, and happy with the price($1.98 each)!
Otherwise, on a basically stock ITR motor I would use the factory plugs in NGK or Denso, or the copper equivalent.
On modified engines with high compression(12:1 or higher), I use Honda part number 98079-5814E, or NGK number BKR8E-11. The only downside is that these way colder plugs don't seem to last nearly as long as the platinums. But hell, the platinums cost about three times more than these, so it ends up being about the same out of pocket over the course of your engine's life.

this might sound stupid, but somebody told me that you can get more horsepower by changing the spark plug. now the only way I can justify that is if it fires them at the right time, when the piston is at its top and synchronised with the other pistons. any1 car to explain why?

I just switched over from the NGKs to the Denso Iridiums just because my mechanic had an extra set he was willing to let me try out. Using my very un-official, yet-to-get-my-ITR-tracked butt dyno the car felt a little stronger on each gear. The Platiniums had 36k miles on them when I took them out.
My two cents,
