Security Ideas...
Some things I've been thinking about recently...
So yea towing the R, you can't really get away from that happening. But what making it a bit harder, and more time for theives to start the car?
What about taking off the spark plug wires off the dizzy at night so they cant just pop in the car and start and take off?
What about taking the 5 mins and taking out the spark plugs at night, and then putting it all back together like they are still in there?
Battery kill switch doubled up with a fuel pump kill switch? ( I know many of you already do this)
What about taking the wires off the battery?
what about taking literally 30 seconds to loosen the alternator belt so the car will die in like 5 mins while driving?
If you would rather blow up your engine than have it stolen...reverse the wires on the dizzy so it will run like ****?
taking off grounding wires?
I mean if you think about it for like 5 mins of time you can do a lot of little things to make it take SOO much longer to start the car.
The only way to beat towing at your own house is to cement a big *** chain in the ground and lock your R to it at night lol.

If I had kept mine, some things I would consider:
- Sinking steel posts into the concrete garage floor and chaining/cabling the chassis to them.
- Removing a wheel or three and leaving the damn thing on jackstands
- Redundant kill switches for power/fuel/circuitry/whatever is needed to run the car
- "Burglar Bomb" - basically a canister of pepper spray wired to go off in the event of an intrusion
On your list the only really bad idea is the one of taking the spark plugs out. Eventually could lead to a thread failure.

hmm yea I didn't think about the thread failure...good call.
I do like your idea about the wheels and burglar bomb tho haha. I might have to try and wire something like this up at mi casa.

How do you do that? Someone was telling me about this the other week, but I couldn't find a good place to put a lock over it.

That would just make it easier for them to get in ur car without your alarm going off.

don't some thieves carry around spare ECU's to bypass the imbolizer?
i've always liked the spark plug line idea. except take the plugs with you. the problem with this is the constant taking in and out of the boot may cause the lines to go bad sooner.
and i like the removeable steering wheel.
also some wheel boots.
now, i don't really think we should post our best ideas though on the internet. I've kept a few to myself.

there are other version that fold down flat aswell.
you can make a car very hard to steal, but only if you have the patience to work hard at your security. needless to say i do, and i make no exceptions at all. goodluck

This is what I did to my itr and other honda's thats are in the family, 2 way clifford alarm, 210v gps clifford tracking unit, backup battery, 3 extra sirens. One in the fender-never put them in the engine bay-NEVER. One pain siren in the car. The other siren with built in back up battery up in the bummper. Full stealth install. The dash was taken out and the alarm wires were put into the factory loom. Main relay relocated with kill switch on it. If there is no power or ground going to this. The car will not start period. Headlight flash- will still flash if the lights are turned on. Many theives will just cut the siren and turn the parking lights on to avoid the flashing. Some of the other cars have detach streering wheels. But thats for looks. They really don't help that much but can be used as a layer, If the car has power streering you can drive it with a pair of plummer pliers. foot locks. Must. Make the theif keep the door open with the inside car siren going off. Also a relocted lojack unit with ews. Even thou I have ews with the gps. I had the lojack before the dei tracking unit came out. Do not Relocate your lojack with out permission.
My lil bro ef has been attempted 9 times. the futher they got the car was 3 blocks by pushing it. With me on the phone and my dad on the site I drove right up to the car with the idiots in it tearing stuff up. 2 years county jail for both of them. the rest were beat up kids and 30 and 90 days and the car was still in front of the house. If you wonder about the sirens, I have a control pannel made with dipset switches to have control of the extra items I made for it. I keep the sirens and led and the headlights dead at night so I can catch them while I at home. If any off you guys need help please feel free to ask. This is my job as a installer.
Can you beleive there are stupied crooks that tried to steal my itr with no motor in it?

its not hard man lol....i just rebuild my head so i can basically take the head off and put it all back together in about an hour and 20 mins haha. belts took me 10 mins all together while I didn't know what i was doing and had to figure it out.
I like alot of your ideas guys. Apparently the boot is the best way to go lol. But yea I just thought that some quick things that I listed might buy us some more time to catch theives if they were making too much noise or panic if it wont start without plugs, etc. Just some ideas I wanted to share, no biggy

That's would be the ultimate idea, but unfortunately not everyone has that option.

Theives don't need to bring ecu in the first place. It just made it easier. They can modd your stock one in about 5-10 min- I will not say how it done so please don't ask to many theives on here. Also unplug that cig lighter to help from special tools being made to send 12 volts to your fuel pump. I toying with the idel about using relays to reverse the polarity of the fuel pump 12 wire to show ground. This way if there is a attempt to power up back there it will not work
