Default S2000 engine start button on ITR

Does anyone have experience with installing an S2000 engine start button on an ITR? How much does it cost? What parts/wiring is necessary? Do you still need the key to start it? Thanks for the info.

If you look up and to the right on your screen, you will see the "Search" feature. Use it and you will find that which you seek.

For example, a search on "s2000 start" returned several topics, including:

Its annoying

My friend got that a while back and you still need the key to start the car...so you put the key in and then press the button, pretty lame if you ask me.

well if your 100% not worried about theft, you can always rewire it so that the s2000 button starts the car....
What shuts it off?

Isn't that how it should be? Turn key to "ON" to supply power to the car, hit button to engage the starter?

Wow, more insight from fuzznuts.

The button would start the car anyways. But you still need the key to supply power, etc. Unless you wanna wire in some toggle swtiches.. and the owner might have a 00/01.. how exactly will you start it without the imoblizer key (and without disabling the imobolizer obviously). Not to mention the question below.

Yep. This mod is completely useless though imo.. I don't know about type-r's.. but my GS-R starts just fine with the key all by itself.

listen jerk,

obviously I dont want to say because it does pose teaching some people how to bypass security on a ITR. Of course you didn't figure that one out did you before that smart *** remark.

anyhow, it can be done. if a ITR can be stolen, it can be done
I prefer the term "a$$hole".

And obviously that's EXACTLY what you meant! How stupid of me. BTW instructions for bypassing the imob. is posted on honda-perf anyways. Not to mention the 10,000 ohter ways to steal a car besides removing the completely useless imob. in hondas. We could start with something as simple as a duplicate factory key. I love how people just believe that if the info isn't posted here, people wont know how to steal an itr.. lol
