Default Roll Cage?????

I'm going to get a roll cage, but I don't know which one to get. I was going to get MF 10's but I'm going to use the $$ to get something a little safer, since I almost killed myself riding in my R and the way I was saved was due to a guard rail.
I did a search and found some info on the Mugen, but EP said it was for RHD cars and did not pass SCCA inspection.
The things I am looking for are:
Safety (On street and Track)
I want to keep the rear seats if possible, but safety is first.
Does it have to be wealded?
Price is not a big issue just about $2400 complete, maybe with harnesses.

I would look into an Autopower roll bar.. Do you want a full on race cage, or what?

I want something that will protect me, without a doubt, and is legal for track races.

Check out this website & call if you have more question. Ask for Ken. They are very helpful in explaining the safety issues of Roll Bars. Ken is the Head of Tech Inspection for NASA, also SCCA in the past.

Don't mean to hi-jack but since we're on the subject of rollcages/bar's

I've been researching rollbar's and I have a question. Is anyone runninng the autopower Race rollbar with the removeable crossbrace and shoulder harness? If I remove these, can I have rear passengers? Could someone post a pic of an R with these braces in without em?

$2,400! Damn. How bout this. You give me $2,400 and I get you an auto power full roll cage for a little under $600, I buy myself one and then take the rest and get me a set of Kosei K1's with Kumho V700's for track duty. Sounds like deal to me. When do you wanna do this? You can IM me or I can give you my cell number. Just letting you know. Mugen cage is stupidly over priced.
Later.

you've been here 400 days

this question has been beaten to death as well.

with any rollbar/cage while you might have the room for passengers, EVEN if you pad the rollbar, it is unsafe and NOT suggested to have people sitting the back, unless you want lawsuits.
