Lovely, VTAK always works better from the other side. Bet you're the hotness at those parking garage meets now. So was this a 97 or 98 that you "converted"?

are there any structural rigidity issues since the conversion?

props to doing it - and clean at that.

i do have a friend who is considering buying a jdm itr or perhaps silvia simply for the fact that he's left-handed and shifting would be easier for him that way.....

i find it funny the way the fat yanks biggest reason for NOT doing it is "not being able to use drive-throughs"

It's not just that. Think of all the times you need to reach out your window to do something. For instance, in my parking garage at work I have to badge in and out every day, and the little swipe box isn't exactly an easy reach.

If I had a RHD car, I'd have to do a serious across the car reach. There is no option to park and swipe because the gate would close.

Also, think about a tollbooth. Not easy either.

That's why RHD = ghey in north america.

Uh, uh. Not true. Because everything is backwards in Yonkers, NY we have a McDonalds drive thru with a RHD fast food window, lol!

You (OP) should move here and do the burger flippers a break everynow and then, lol!

Turning left and passing on the highway doesn't seem too easy either.

If you think that is odd. Some places even have drive thru Liquor stores even though it is illegal to drink and drive.

1) Probably belongs in the appearance forum where more people appreciate this 'style'

2) You post up such a topic and you'll get opinions, thoughts and ideas. This is what a message board is for, after all.

3) This is a performance oriented forum and posts are of that nature. You want appearance only, then go to that forum.

Now did you just cut and weld on a new clip or drill out the firewall and replace it with the RHD one?

I'm helping my friend do it the firewall way, and granted I wouldn't do it to my R or anything, but I fail to see how popping out a few spotwelds and rewelding ruins the rigidity of the car. Granted I would say that about a direct clip weld-on.

Where's all the work in progress pics?
