Has anybody installed something other than the S2000 antenna modification? I'm looking to install like a small, manually retractable Hirschmann or something.

 

i was wondering about removing mine and replace it with just something,like hmm
other antenna (couldnt desite)

Yeah, I know all about the search function, but if you could read you'd see that I'm looking for something other than the S2000 mod (i think it looks awful on an R). Any other input would be greatly appreciated.

 

shave the hole and put a glass mounted ant in the car, the flat kind that look like tape.

 

well.. i didn't replace or remove my antenna, i just cut the wire so it don't go up/down every time i turn the car on. if i cared more about it, i'd replace it with regular antenna - i'd rather retract it manually, or if i cared even more, i'd install an accord type of antenna

 

has anyone done the tape **** with any success? its on radioshacks website for $7 or something like that

 

If you don't mind holding onto the stock one, you could just install an antenna override switch...like this...

 

my 01 accord has the no antenna thing and the reception is better then my R. is there anyway to do something like that?? i think it is wired through the rear window or something like that.
