Default powdercoating wheels in Metro area.

Does anyone in DC/MD/VA know of a decent place to get wheels powdercoated? I want to make my track/summer wheels black, but I'm not sure where I can get this done. I've gotten one recommendation from a very helpful Sentra driver, but it was a little expensive. Anyone know if I can get a good job done for less than $200? Thanks in advance.

George what the hell are you doing, it's 2:30 a.m.!

I just looked at the picture of Warren's car in the other thread I created, and it does look ok, but I really like darker wheels, like GM and flat black. If I can get it done for a decent price, I'd be inclined to do that. Otherwise, I'll do what Shultz did and spray em with grill paint...or just spray paint.

BTW - go to bed!

Ross don't waste your money powdercoating! Waste your money on some Spoon SW-388s!

not everyone can get them for so cheap GK...

hey 1 CONFUSED R, the wheels I decided on are less for one set than the SW388s are for one wheel...I was thinking of Rotas but screw it, Kosei K-1s it is. Any weight I gain by not having SW388s, I lose when I compare my body weight with other R drivers. Example: George Knighton weighs over 200 pounds. I weigh 133. Lose weight = free hp.

The place in manassas, va that did my wheels is not cheap but they did an excellend job. Prep work is the key. $100/wheel though. American Stripping http://www.ascoweb.com . Someone also post some info on a place in Chantilly, VA that was less expensive but i don't know any info on that place. HTH.

They gotta place in Richmond, Precision powder coating i think. Its $50 a wheel as long as the tires are already dismounted. i think they offer some kinda warranty also. But if you save $50 a wheel, i think its worth the drive

Damn Marc...you took that quote and ran with it!

I apologize for the JDM = riceboy rant. I should have edited it and said "JDM fronts are rice if you havent already made your car fast as ****"...which your car obviously is. please accept my apology to you and your car.

edit - besides, why would I purposely call someone who I actually know personally a riceboy? I just got started on that rant because some idiot was looking to buy a JDM climate control or something.
