Plexiglass air box???
While searching the web for new and exciting information I ran into this picture, Is this anyone on here- if so please explain how this works and any dyno sheets to back it up.
And if its not a H-T member's car then would anyone have other pics?

well, i'd guess that plexi would keep the heat out better than those metal heatshields.
don't know if that's actually a box or just a shield.
anyone know how plexi deals with heat compared to other plastics?

my step brother just did that on his 95 tsi (turbo) talon
his air filter is near where we have the abs modulator. the blocked off that compartment of air, where normally air is blown.
it made a big difference.
we will have to see where the air is coming from for that guys setup
If he is smart, he should have made a cold air extension that goes to the turn signal or similar place. He might have just made a diy comptech icebox. and used someones short ram intake

I don't like the Sharp edges.
So I don't see it as much of an advantage over the Stock Air Box.
But it does look trick. Wonder how often it needs cleaning?
