Default patch or plug

i just looked in the archives and didnt really find any input. i have a set of azenis with less than 2k miles on them. well i just moved into a new house w/ lots o construction. well, with my luck i ran over a roofing nail. i got the tire plugged, but im not sure if i should have had it patched (from the inside). im pretty hard on my tires and i want the best reliability possible. thanks for any input

Get a new tire.

Any repair voids the speed rating and will change the heat dissipation characteristics of the tire. If you stay well within the limits, that might not be a problem for you, but I'd rather not have the tire give out when it's at its adhesive limit.

I've heard of doing both. Patches are better than plugs.

The speed rating is void, but I'd probably consider it a T or S rated tire still.
