OT: Remember back when...
there was the NATCC? Shurt but sweet....I blame America's pathetic desire for NASCAR for the death of Super Touring in NA. Enjoy,

Anywhere in the world, Touring Cars are the High Tech form of Street Sedans circuit racing and we got stuck with
the good old boys running around the car with a hand jack! AHHH! pisses me off! F-1 still rules!

Oh And the corners is comming up and a light left hand turn and into the straight away and now another left hand turn then straight away and watch out another left hand turn!!!!!!! lol People Like Nascar cause u drive in a Circle and Regular people can do it just look at all the little Speedways around where regular people get to be like The "Pro's" and drive in cirlces lol. Starting to get disgusted with Nascar its aways Nascar this Nascar that. Its all Left hand turns people. When u learn to drive and feel like a Challange come to the Road Racing Circuit. Atleast Speedvision covers STS and Trans Am Series. just ranting
I remember the races but at the time there was not much of interest for touring cars atleast in North America also 4 doors back then was not a sports car in most NA's minds set. Now only since GT and SV showing what touring cars can do has people ideas of what makes a car a sporty or sports car. Also the series died because Cart was using the races to help boost race ticket sells which where going down hill..around the same time I believe the IRL also came around as well. Also these cars where high dallor not like the cars in the SV touring series which are more economical for the race teams and sponsors. People didn't understand that around 100-200 grand goes into Super Touring or Toca cars. That doesn't even include travel costs and crew and driver costs. SV touring cars can be done pretty easy compared to a Toca type car. Typical ready to race ITR goes for around 50 grand for the SV series. The rest of the money goes to 700 bucks to enter each race , travel, crew and driver and repair costs. You can spend around 30 grand per yr just on travelling cost. Now unless you work on your own car and drive it you will have to pay those people too and hopefully you get enough sponsors to cover most of your repairs and comsumables.
