Offset question
Hoping someone can answer this for me:
16x7 MF10s come in +43 and +50 offset
Which is better for stock height, stock calipers and why?

+43 will be better on the track since the wheels will stick out more (flush with fender/wider track) and likely clear some crazy aftermarket calipers.
I'm wondering why Mugen offered the +50 setup....don't some of you MF10 owners find the wheels sit a bit too far in?
With the car lowered, there should be enough "natural" camber so even the +43s won't smack the fender liners?

+50 offset is offered because you'll get exactly the same wheel geometry as stock. The offset influences the scrub radius and track width.

Ok, funny enough, I am in the exact same situation right now. Stock offset is +45mm. If this was changed to +43 mm wouldnt this push the whee/tire deeper into the tire well and make it harder to fit bigger calipers? I believe I do have it confused, so someone enlighten me. The distance from centerline to mounting point is decreased, so does that make the wheel push further in? So why would this make a wider track? Answers, people.

It's the opposite.
The lower the number, the farther out it'll be. And vice-versa.

+43 mm offset will provide ~5 mm space for calipers - but it pushes the rim out a bit (total track width will increase 14 mm - not huge) - but the largest tire you will be able to fit is 215/45
+50 mm offset is the same as stock. With this offset rim you can fit a 225 width tire.

225/40-16 P7000Z does not rub at all. 45 aspect ratio will probably rub. 50 definitely
Different tires have different widths - you just have to try. Azenis are very wide - their 205 is like a 225 in other tires.

Why is it that 215/45/16 are practically nonexistent by every manufacturer. Because of this, if I wanted a wider tire than a 205, the next step up would be a 225. So, if I would like the option of wearing 225 shoes, would the +43 work better or the +50?
i remember when i was getting new tires put on my r with mf-10's (+43mm offset) that i was going to get 225/45/16 but they said that they wouldn't let me leave the shop (discount tire) because it would rub so bad. i was like wtf? i've heard of people on h-t having that same tire size on the exact same rims. so i settled for 205/45/16.
so, with the 43mm offset i will need 5mm spacers to fit 225's? or will they fit without them.

That will bring your offset to +38mm, which is worse if you intend on putting wider tyres.
What you need to do is bring the rims closer to the center of the car (higher offset).
Unless you can find negative 5mm spacers, which will put you closer to the +50mm offset MF10 @ +48mm. LOL
