Mounting wheels with questionable offset
I know it has been discussed, and I have read all of the posts regarding what offsets will work and what won't on a 2001 ITR.
I am getting my stockers mounted with V700's today and getting 15x6.5 38mm offsets mounted with my street tires (205/50/15 RE010). The car is stock otherwise - (stock ride height, stock shocks, stock springs, stock brakes).
How will I know or what should I do to see if these will be rubbing against anything?
Since my race tires are going on the stockers, I won't exactly be able to just slap them back on the car if these 38mm's don't work out.
1) Should I take the car off of the rack with the 38mm's on and drive it around the block and then proceed with mounting the stockers/ v700's if it works out?
2) Or, is it enought to spin the wheels while the car is on the rack and see if anything is rubbing?
3) Or, am I just being a little too paranoid?
Any help would be greatly appreciated to ease my mind.
