Default Missing lugnuts rant

My friend was walking by my car the other day and looked at the front passenger wheel when he noticed i was missing 2 lugs.
I was like WTF, lugs don't just fall off. So now I'm wondering if I've been parking in any bad areas, or if someone's out to mess with my car.
Went out and bought 2 new lugs right away, made sure all the rest were securely fastened too. Why would anybody do that?

yup, people are lame these days.

I always carry a few spare lugs in the glovebox for cases like that.

btw, lugs do just fall off some times. That is why you should torque/check them every oil change

Craig - Who remembers Dave's lug falling off at 100+ mph

That's why some company should make a full set of locking lug nuts. Kyokugen makes a set but alot of people are having problems with it cause the key tends to break/strip.

after every rotation i re-torque the lugs 2-3 more times withing 100-250 miles. First after 10-15 miles, both front and rear - sometimes 3-4 lugs per front wheel still turn.. After 70-100 miles, both front and rear, rear should be done by this time, front may still have some loose from turns. And 3rd time, at 200-250 miles just to double check the fronts - it should be secure at this point.
