I am wondering if anyone on this board has had problems with their Limited Slip Differential? A friend of mine that also roadraces his 97R had his torsen seize up on him last weekend during a race. After being towed to the shop and pulling the LSD and cleaning it , it now works fine. There is no apparent missing teeth or any loose metal that could have jammed it so I am posting to find out everyone elses experiences. This car is raced very hard but well maintained.

PS. I installed a Quaife LSD two weeks ago and it is nice!!

how do you like the Quaife compared to the stock one? I have the KAAZ and I am stuck with the need to change its oil frequently..... and the NOISE...arghh....

but it works well I suppose.....

Would this be Ian's(sp?) car you are referring to about the LSD?

Yes it is Ian's car. I like the Quaife so far but it is not a huge leap from the stock Torsen. I actually feel it more accelerating on the straights than the corners. I have heard that the KAAZ is good but yes it has maintenance issues.

I've got a hair in my *** and was actually selling my KAAZ cuz of the maintenance thing.... not so great on a daily driver....
