Default LSD/alignment question

is it true, that when your alignment is off, it messes up your lsd?

well, to make my wheels straight, lets jus say the steering wheel is 45 degrees off from where its suppose to be, the acura dealer, told me it isnt good for the lsd, is this true, or are they jus trying to make me spend more money to do an alignment?

was your steering wheel removed at any time and not put on in the correct location? that is the only thing i could think of. i dont see how the alignment being off could affect the lsd. the alignment has to do with the tire location not the tranny. think about this: if your alignment if off, does it hurt your axles/cv? yes in the extreme case, but if its off by a few degrees no.
i think they are pullin your leg for more money.

thanks for your replies, yea my alignment is off pretty bad, cuz some bastard hit the rear driver side on the freeway, i was going about 80, and started doing 360s on the freeway, was able to regain control without hitting any cars luckly, the other driver ran off, tried to chase him down but lost him! this was like a week ago, ever since then the alignment is off pretty bad, so yup, trying to get more money to fix, everything else seems fine except for the back which has no bumper no, since it was ripped off, does anybody happen to know anybody selling a stock type r rear bumper??
