Icon7 Looking for a Type R

Hi guys, I sold my 1990 civic si so Im looking at possibly buying a Type R.
I have a few questions regarding type R's.
Im looking to purchase one within the upcoming months.
I'd like ideally a 1998 or 2000, ( 2001 would do as well) in Championship white.
Is any particular year better than another ?
I want to know what should I be looking for when I have the car inspected ?
Besides looking for regular maintenance records, and accidents repaints, do type r's have any knows issues ?
I know the engines tend to burn a lil oil and such, but any other issues with a B18C5 ?

thanks

Were white ones sold in Canada for the 2000 model year? In the States, they only came in black or yellow in 2000-2001.

All the years are virtually identical, other than color (and age, obviously).

In Canada you can get white from 1997-2001.
I read 97-98 had a/c as an option ? 99-01 it was standard equipment.

Yep, they sure do have an issue...a big issue. Very theft prone car.

if you're talking about american type r's, ac was standard in 00-01, not sure about 98. it was definitely optional in 97.
