Default Latest mini-project

Got bored and decided to waste some $$$, so I put together a 4 EGT monitoring system. It was originally for tuning and monitoring the single fogger wet nitrous setup (I have my reasons for wanting to see all 4 cyls)...but since my KPRO board decided to burn itself before we hooked anything up...I'm just going to be putting the car away in a week or so.

PS - I don't like these gauges...FS if anyone wants them, out of box for 5 days...$80/per shipped.

just about everything

Like how the burn is compared to each cyl, if one is colder then the rest the plug might be gapped wrong...
there is so much.

what do you mean? guage location? well I was originally going to have them up on the dash, but then since most tuning is done with a passenger and the location is still very visible for a "quick check without losing total view of the road", especially since the gauges are roated so a problem is visible much easier, it worked out well...the panel underneath is for fan/purge/arming (the panel isn't fully installed yet as the N2O install isn't totally finished)...Also we managed to get the center console to fit over the K-series shifter

Bbasso hit the nail on the head, I can monitor soo much now. Since the stock O2 is a wideband I can make sure all cyls are running even temps and while spraying you'll be able to make sure each are getting even N2O/fuel distribution

Reminds me of mine. I only had enough money for two GReddy 52mm gauges tho. At least the bungs won't go to waste if I get the AEM EMS and use them for individual cylinder trimming.

that is very cool, and very appealing..

lets say you have itbs, itll be alot easier to monitor what is going on in each cyclinder and to also tune it.

how much would you say it cost total?

i like the gauge setup...

I used Autometer bungs. They're 1/8" NPT with a small sleeve/shelf that fits into a pre-drilled hole to hold it while you weld. They're about $11 each from Summit. It's really hard to justify spending $50 on just the bungs, especially when it's not that great of a header.

our bungs are the same as you describe IN VTEC.

The whole thing cost me about $600..I use Hondata KPRO so I can adjust each cyl trim. EGT in combination w/ a WB O2 setup will give you EXCELLENT ideas of what is going on in each cyl.
