About 4 weeks ago my car's check engine light came on. No biggie since I work with a master honda mechanic i had him read to see what code was being thrown, Engine running to rich. Correct timing from advancing months before (noticed no gain so put back to factory spec) and then erased code and checked again, everything fine. Well now about 2-3 times a week I get the check engine light. The code that is being thrown is "bank 1 running to rich". My tech said that is strange since there is only one bank in the engine to begine with. I usually thorw the code when I'm pulling up to my mailbos or pulling up my drive way. We can't seem to figure out what the problem is that it keeps throwing the same code. It's easy to read it and reset it but it's getting aggrevating having to do 2-3 times a week. Has this ever happened to anyone else? If so, what was the problem and how did you fix it? Also before the comments come I have checked the timing 4 times just make sure it had got set right.

alas, when the "Honda MASTER Tech" can't figure it out. ask the guys on the web board, i think i saw that on a flow chart once

 

If it was one of the O2 sensors then why wouldn't I be getting an O3 sensor code instead of the running to rich in bank 1 code?
