ITR 01-0431 Modification Thread
The car is essentially "done" now, I don't have any big performance or aesthetic changes planned.
If I ever get the bronze CE28s, I'll throw those on.
I have an aftermarket version of the optional '98+ body kit, but I don't really like the fitment, so I'm probably not going to install it and keep looking for someone selling an OEM one, maybe I'll get lucky some day.
I do have some old car stuff to attend to and some fine tuning of the suspension to help correct some of the geometry from lowering it. I also have a backup distributor in case I run into issues latter.
The backup distributor. It seems more likely it could squeak by a CA smog visual check as it’s a "direct replacement" part, unlike getting coil packs, but I wouldn't want to test that at the state ref.

To help correct the suspension geometry, extended ball joints and tie rods that relocate the tie rod end ball joint pivot:

To help with the alignment, a front caster adjusting kit:

Lastly, to help the car drive smoother, a suspension bushing kit, don't need the ones already replaced with the camber kits installed, but this cost less than buying individually:

Seems the pads just needed more break-in time, much more initial bite now, less pedal travel to get decent braking effort.
looks like the image links got messed up, reposting them.

There is a load rating associated with the specific bolt pattern... in this case, 5x100 has a maximum load rating of 530kg, whereas, the 5x114.3 patterned wheel has a maximum load rating of 690kg.
^ yeah, the black close-ended lug nuts tie together with the car much better, I noticed how much cleaner it looked afterwards. It was fun to play around with the blue open-ended ones for a little while though.
The car is in storage right now, probably will swap cars again in the spring, then get to work installing the new stuff. I have been debating if I'll install the bushings myself or drop it off somewhere, it's a doable but tedious looking job.

FWIW I believe those wheels will clear the larger Spoon Monoblock with RSX-S 300mm. Not sure about offset though. The monoblocks have smaller pistons (equivalent to a single 54mm piston) vs the twin-block (equivalent to a single 57mm piston) which helps offset the extra front bias from the larger 300mm rotor. When I crunched the number way back when I found it only increased front bias by 1.3%. Stock ITR is 75.7% front bias. And when swapping in S2k front brakes it only changes to 77.0%.
google “zoom engineering rear view mirror dc2”, and you’ll see it sold at various places and all the different styles. One version is even shaped like a race track! Haha.
jhpusa.com is where I got this one, it’s the “TS” model.
