Does anyone know anything about this suspension setup?

According to the specs page:
22kg/mm Front, 7kg/mm Rear
Drop at recommended settings: 33mm front, 23 mm rear

I have a chance to buy this setup at a good price. My car is a daily driver, but also used for autocross and some road course lapping.

Comments/recommendations? Will it be possible to dial out some of the harshness by adjusting height/dampening strength?

(Roads here are pretty good, but there are some speedbumps etc on my daily drive)

My guess is the dampers are configured to work with the springs such that you don't end up with too much understeer, and you have no body roll at all.
The guy I'm buying them off of (maybe) uses them for autocross and does quite well. No understeer apparent.

Confusing. I need to find out more from him.

with those rates im inclined to say your car will understeer like a ****.....
im under the impression for Autocross u would want a higher spring rate for the rear to induce better rotation in the tight corners......yes?

If that's the case, would sticky tyres on the fronts and spare street tyres on the rear balance it out?

That's an effective way of decreasing overall grip.

That is also a terrible way to induce oversteer, when there are more viable options.

Absolutely not. You should not sacrafice other parts of your car (band-aid if you will) when you can build the suspension correctly in the first place.

Shock rate does have some bearing on how the car handles, but it won't make up for over 500lb springrate difference.

IMO, you want a 3:4 ratio for front/rear suspension on an ITR for autox. Something like a (front/rear) 6/8, 8/10, etc.

Guess I'm just as confused as the rest of you as to why this would be called 'gymkhana' spec when its completely opposite of what everyone else recommends.

Dunno what spring rates this guy was running on his Zeals, but I did notice he had different size Azenis on his SSR Type Cs;

FRONT: 16inch (215 series)
REAR: 15inch (195 series)
