Help Installing Head Stud
I recently broke a stud from the spark plug cover because i accidently screwed it on too tight, and I know to replace it I'll have to remove the valve cover and I was thinkin since i'm gonna replace it why not replace the whole head stud set. My question is is the spark plug cover stud part of the head studs? Also would I need to remove my head to replace the studs or can i just do it by removing the valve cover? Also how many do the ARP head stud kit come with? I've never done this before, sorry

You didn't break a head stud, you broke a valve cover stud.
Head studs hold the actual head to the block. Factory comes with head bolts, while the ARP set is studs with separate washers and nuts.
The valve cover studs simply screw into the top of the head and the camshaft rails. They are very simple to replace. And yes, the inner 4 valve cover studs also serve to hold the spark plug cover in place. There are 4 open nuts that go on the studs first and tighten down onto the valve cover (in addition to the 4 acorn nuts out at the valve cover corners), and then 4 more acorn nuts hold the spark plug cover in place.
