Hi guys need some help. My car is making a continous clicking(popping) sounds. when I turn left only. The sound alomost sounds like a popping sound. Im thinking its probably the axles, could it be the cvjoint?? It also makes one popping sound when I press the brakes, but it is not constant, just sometimes. Any help will be greately apprecaited. Try to be more descriptive with your titles. 'Help' is not likely to get you as much help. Check your cv boots and make sure there's no cuts or tears. What is your mileage?

Most likely, it's the outer CVJ. Just reach your hand around to the boot... if you get greenish grease on it, it's torn and probably contaminated.

You'll need to disassemble to be sure, but the order of magnitude goes like this: boot / CVJ / Axle Shaft. Only rarely will a damaged CVJ mangle an axle. If you catch it early, it my just need the boot and grease replaced.

How long has it been clicking?

 

If it sounds like you are constantly running over some cans or like empty coke cans are rolling down a hill, it's the CV joint
