Default header question

I wasn't sure where to put this but i think i will get the most feedback posting here. Seems like you type r owners are pretty friendly compared to every one else on honda-tech I just finally swapped my itr motor into my eg hatch and im very happy with it. All i basically want to do is full bolt ons and leave it like that since it already cost me a pretty penny purchasing the swap and putting it in and what not . But anywho, i wanted to get a good header that is going to give me the best power. I did research on all most of the well known headers and found pretty good info on them (SMSP, RMF, TRI-Y MADE BY WHITEFIELD,JUN, etc). Its funny how they all post up dyno sheets but on each of them they are all putting out the best power compared to one another. So i decided to find out what headers you guys are using and how helpful they have been to your setups. Any feedback would be great thanks

Supposely the Hytech headers from which I've researched gives out the best results. Though a lil pricey but they have gone down on price significantly from around $1300 to about $700. I recently bought one but haven't installed it yet. Here's a website if you'd like to look at the dyno or order one. GoodLuck!

the $700 header is the production header. the $1300 is for the full custom piece.

Default Re: header question (mugenej8power)

Depends on your setup. One header might make more power on engine A but less on engine B.

Asking opinions is going to get you good answers for every brand. I'd tell you to get SMSP since I have one and it works really well (though I have a D16Y7 not a C5). Someone with a Toda will tell you to get a Toda. You'll just have to search around and decide on the price, name, and power that you like.
