Default header primary question?

hey guys
just wondering what size maximun diameter would you go for header primaries.
mods would be most prob stock internals(not sure if want to upgrade valvetrain in the future, def not now), just the basic bolt ons plus new ecu
u see, im asking this coz im gonna get myself some made up and don't want to car to bog down in the low revs due to an oversize in the primarys
what size are hytechs and smsp's custom ones
would 2'' be too much or would 1 7/8'' or 1 3/4'' be better
replys much appreciated

No offense...I know your on the other side of the world...but I'd never measure my SMSP header and give you the dimensions. I hope no one with a HiTech header would either! The reason is, these guys have worked hard to produce what most of us would consider the BEST headers for our application. This required a lot of sweat, time, and money to complete their current designs. Why should someone give you the measurements for free so you can attempt to COPY it? Why not invest in the technology if you believe in it!

On a different note, I've heard most of the JDM manufacturers use primaries in the area of 45mm. Hope that helps!

RStoR, i was expexting that reply (not flaming)
anyways the reason i dont particulary want to invest in the hard and fast proven US technology is simply because of price.
i can get a header made up by a mate in a speed and tune shop for like 350 US, big diff
plus honda is alot more of a dark science here in oz, now where as many people into it as in the states
anyways thanks for the reply
