i have a 99 jdm itr . i was debating getting a header.
is the stock one good enough or are brands like comptech or any other brands better.
open to suggestions to hear what is the best headr for the itr

Depends on what your build is and what your needs are. The JDM 4-1 header is considered an upgrade over the USDM 4-2-1 unit. There are some nice custom headers out there from SMSP and Hytech that make nice gains, but they will cost.

Is that just an automatic assumption that stock = junk? Just because many companies make them (take a look at the aftermarket for Integras and Civics as a whole, it's ridiculous how much stuff is out there) doesn't mean they're all worth a damn, or worth their money over stock.
You're going to hear from people how hard it is to improve much or at all over a JDM 4-1. It can be done, sure, but we're not talking $400, but more like $1000+ ..
