havin problem with JDM ECU
I installed JDM P73-013 yesterday and let it learn for 15+mins
and went for test drive ,
it was hella slow...
Im runnin Spoon header with test pipe, bigger b-pipe,N1 exhaust
I haven't bypass secondary O2 sensor yet
is it Bcuz of the Sec O2 sensor? or I need to do something for the
OBD I ECU for my car?
thankx !
Han.
ps.my car is 99'R
pss.thankx to Dropspeed for the ECU

I think the Jdm ecu is obd2,and secondly it only reads from one o2,in wich its located right after the collecter on the header.Keep in mind the jdm ecu runs really rich and you might need some tuening to take full advantage of it, depending on what yer set up is.The jdm ecu seems to be a good all round ecu to use for a mild set up.
btw i have no complants with my jdm ecu and motor stock performance.

I would have stuck with the USDM ecu...JDM ECU does not make it better, its optimized for use with 96+ octane gas, so it probably senses whatever octane you have and has compensated for it...JDM is not better all of the time!!
so then all he needs is a little octain booster....and his ecu will work better????
i think theres a little more to it than that.Timming and fuel maps are also differnt

JDM ECU = OBD2 plugs with OBDI programming. No Secondary O2 is used.
There is a VTEC switch difference (pressure switch?) but I'll let those more informed comment on that one.

your compression is a good bit lower than JDM that could have something to do with it also. Hum...JDM ECU and turbo...might be a good thing...along with a CTR intake cam.
