What's your deal man? You're making 440whp and now you don't think people should do it at all?

I will agree on that. If you take shortcuts it will be a headache. If you dont know much about cars or turbos, Dont bother because you will be fixing things and things need to be kept up with.

Turbo -- FUN
If you plan on tracking it, gotta keep it cool (oil cooler and radiator), and you probably won't want to run full boost either.
I'm starting to burn oil now, on stock pistons/compression. I'll probably lower the compression a tad with new pistons and leave it be, if it gets much worse. I have 5 track days on my R with turbo, one day was full boost (10 PSI) and I starved it coming out of one corner (leaned out becuase I was low on gas, EGT's saw 1900+ degreees, Air-fuel bounced up to 17:1, etc. etc.). That's when my problems started, it hasn't gotten worse since then. Otherwise I run around 8 PSI.
You can make it reliable if you spend the money. But keep a spare motor worth of cash in savings, just in case

p.s. has anyone mentioned searching yet?

i would look around more. Seriously it seems like they are coming out the woodwork these days.
Look in my sig. Seems like my old one seems to be running OK. Funny thing is, it isnt evenn runnig 1/2 of the potential i built it for.
