posting for my friend.
The problem for my car (98 integra type R) is when I turn the ignition on ......the car can start up........but after 1or 2 secs.........then it engine shut down automatically.......
however, just b4 the car stalls, the tach needle will go up very high, like 5k, but the engine doesnt rev.

I think that is because of the ECU ..........coz before my car is using Apexi Power FC..........currently running stock ECU .............

However, I switched it back to test with Power FC ..... It still get the same problem.........the engine will shut down after few secs....
It doesn't show up any check engine light or code

when the car does start and drive, the rpm fluctuates when i press the gas pedal
eg. driving normally, 2k rpm,, press the gas, only goes up to 4k rpm, then goes back to 3k, then 4k, etc. doesn't only happen in this rev range, it happend all over.
but sometimes it drives perfectly.

Anyone can help?

Buy a new ignitor.
it's inside the distributor.
