what exacley does the spoon or mugen ecu offer

They are both remapped ECUs designed to adjust fuel and such in accordance with other Mugen or Spoon modifications.. I highly suggest if you are getting cams, or would like to tune, that you go with Hondata.

If you are staying relatively stock, then you dont need anything other than a VAFC. Even with cams, VAFC is a cheap and useful tool.
