De-Locking a DC-5
Hello,
I am about to get my DC5 tomorrow, really excited about it and everything, however, I am a little bit worried about security, as my old car got broken into this morning, and someone pinched the back of the stereo (?!?!?!?! - idiots), but damaged the lock in the process.
I have had a look using search, and there are not many topics about this specific to this car. Is it worth delocking the car to stop people trying to smash the lock on the door handle in? Or are the door handles secure enough to at least attract attention when someone tries to hammer it to death?
The car I have at the moment was really easy to break into as it was one of those with the lock on the side of the metal of the door, and all you need is to get a flat headed screw driver to pry the lock out, hit it inside the door and then the central locking opens (Good work Nissan).. anyone had the same worries ... or even knows anyone who has got into a DC5 within 30 seconds would be good. I am not worried about the alarm that much, as I have a cat 1 + tracker + blackjax + baseball bat + camera + sms pager for the car anyway .... its just people damaging the body on the outside which kinda annoys me.. or just getting into the car in the first place.
I suppose my aim is to make it difficult for them to get in so they have to make noise. Would hopefully want to catch them before they got inside the car.

True, but DC5 = RSX here, so I was suggesting you might get better information there
Good luck!
