Do CTR Pistons use chrome rings (i might be wrong, but my mechanic told me that)for the top piston ring, making it hard to seat for the first 2500 miles? Im burning oil right now and want to make sure that it could be a problem.

CTR, ITR, B16A, B17A, B18A, B18B, B18C all use the same rings.

They should seal up within minutes. Otherwise there is a problem elsewhere.
