Does CTR piston fit on the stock R engine? I heard it will raise the comporession ration. Is $175 a good price for brand new CTR pistons?

 

They are supposed to raise compression a little. $175 is a good price for all 4. Just make sure you get new rods and rings to go with them. In a ITR, I don't think they make a big enough difference to be worth the cost and trouble of installation.

 

yea i think it fits. Raises the compression in the mid 12 area i think

 

New Rods? Good one.

Raises compression to 12.2 in an ITR motor or b18c block with b16a head.

 

I don't think new rods would be a necessity, but it would be nice to buy some nice light rods since if you're gonna be tearing apart the engine that far anyways, might as well go spend the extra money and get a set of rods...

And balance the whole affair...
