Default contacting hytech or John@ hytech?

i did a search and everyone says John is the person to contact at hytech, well i couldnt find his email, so i just emailed hytech's contact email from their site. this was about 2 wks ago and still no response, im just trying to purchase an exhaust or see how long it will take them to make one, bc ive read it took people awhile to get them. I figure the wait has gone down a bit from the exhausts initial debut. basically apex n1 is killing me on the highway. im gonna get the catback, and not opt for the renault cat they can add to it. Is calling them my only solution? if so, i'll hvae to do it after work but just wanted info from anyone who has dealt with them in the past.

Just got off the phone with Hytech, they said 6-8 weeks and they "might" have them....... They again told me to call back in 6-8 weeks to see.

Try to find one used. There was one for sale in the FS thread not to long ago... Take 800 bucks and put it a side and be ready to throw it at the next guy selling one....

I got my header and exhaust within 6 weeks. To me, it didn't seem like an unreasonable turn around time for a custom made exhaust system *shrug*. FWIW John was extremely helpful and answered all my emails within 1 day.

Even my SMS setup took that long. But them wanting you to call back in a couple of months for it is odd to me. I would think they'd take your CC info then and put in an order for it, not have you call back when they "think" they'll have some.

I dont mind the wait, that actually tells me that they make quality pieces. Its the if you still want it in 2 months give us a call back that I dont like. Even calling today I got the same response. When I first wanted the system I was ready to drop the money on it, they wouldnt take it.

I have heard nothing but great things about Hytech Customer service.

There exhaust is the best on the market IMHO, you cant beat the sound and quality.

Interesting. When I called to order my Hytech, John took my order then and there and sent me status updates via email. Once my system was complete, he sent it to me COD. Granted this was about two years ago so things have probably changed since then.

I think the issue the past few months is that the place where they get the parts to make the TL's is rediculously slow..

i think what we're all hinting at is that the callback in 2 months to see if the exhaust is even there is probably not worth it, bc someone in cali or with close connections to the fabricators will just get that part. i wouldnt waste my time selling my stuff to someone in bfe, if i knew i could sell it to someone locally. is hytech going through any online shops? or these are direct to consumer? when i did a search for hytech on this site, most recent stuff i pulled up was years old so i figured the hype had died down, and i post this up today and it seems that the hype never died down nor did the wait. crazy. but i still want one of these. group buy cmon.

Hytech is John and John is Hytech, Honestly your not getting any Super exhaust for waiting 2-4 months, your better off getting a Nice Exhaust like a Fujitsubo, RS-R, or any of the other nicer Exhausts out there. Even Mugen if your set more on the Quiet twinloop setup over hp.

king motorsports sells mugen tl's and they said it's a special order exhaust. so it prob has to be made as well. i swear you can't win for losing. and i love how this whole time i was researching and using the f*ing search button, i thought the storm had cleared on the hytechs and i could quietly sneak in and get one, now we got people coming out of the woodworks that are waiting to get one. i love it. i'd rather just find a stock exhaust and call it a day now i think.

alright, one more idea to toss up without creating a new thread. since i have the apex n1 and im using the apex n1 b-pipe. will it bolt up to a spoon sports muffler? i saw someone on here mated a dc sports b-pipe to the spoon muffler, so im sure with a 2 dollar gasket i can just swap mufflers out and reduce noise by a good bit? also, arent the spoon exhausts around 750? if so, still a lil bit cheaper than hytech and im getting a new exhaust. i dont know, just a thought.
