compression???????
ok guys here's the store i was at the track las week as i posted before and didnt get the times i thought the car could do but it is not like my times were way off they were all around 15.9-15.6, i know my 60 foot ws bad 2.6-2.8 but that shoudnt make my time that bad. so anyways you guys told me to go to acura and get a compression test well i did and got 120 across the board and they said it was fine but i thought it should be higher could anyone help me out. i have a 2000 itr with intake and exhaust my next step is to dyno it to see if i have at least 163 to the wheels. thanks
With a 2.6-2.8 60 ft times, I would be in the high 15's. What elevation is the track at?
Guys at 5000-6000 ft run mid 16 second 1/4 mile times in their ITR.

well i thought that it was very low myself and the acura service guy said he checked the book and it was supposed to be 135 and he said that his machine might have been off but as long as all the #'s are the same i shoudnt have a prob. so thenif it should be around 200 what should i do and what should i tell acura? would it affect the car and what culd happen to my engine if the red was correct and i had 120 aross the board?

so what you guys are saying is that if my #'s are that bad then i have bent valves. i mean it goes into v-tech fine and at 6,000 but it just doesnt pull like it should when it gets there. and i just got off the phonewith acura like 5 min. ago and they said that their manual says it is supposed to be 135. so i dont know if i have a case for then to fix my car???????what should i do?
Go to another dealer. 120 psi across?? Your motor is @#!!??zx
try 210 and up for a stock motor. You ran a 15.6 because your car is broke. I dont even know you but you mos def. have a problem.
Dont waste yo money going to a dyno. You will never get 160hp to the ground with compression like that on a stock motor.

Holy ship what the fluck were those numbers 120, damn two of your cylinders wont even add togeather to make the numbers of a healthy motor. I would seriously tell acura that you car is fugged up and if its under warranty to fix it, as long as you didnt misshift or cause harm to the engine,
it is R0902 but i an ony do 5 post every 24 hours so i had to make a new name. i want to do compression test myself and was just wondering hw to do it, also what should i tell acura to fix? i mean they where the ones who did the test and told me everything was ok? and also i was gonna race my friend with a 98 type r with the same exact mods to see if i sty even with him

oh my 120!! a type R should be at least 210. Myne was 210 dead on all 4 cylinders and my car has high miles. There is something seriously wrong if you didnt get the numbers mistaken. You must have got the numbers mistaken. The average for a gsr is 180. your way below a gsr.

My compression (properly taken on a warm engine) was 230-235 on all four cylinders. My guess is that they took the compression with the engine cold.
