Default Cluster problems

I have a UK cluster in my 2000 PYT ITR that reads 260km
when i start the car the engine temp goes to hot and the fuel gauge goes to full. further more the Tach does not work unless the headlights are on and when i put my indicators on left or right the Tach will bounce up and down. The actual speedo works fine as well as all other dash icons. can someone shed some light on this. does this have anything to do with having my crank sensor not working

sounds like your cluster wires are pinched along with your lights

go through all your wiring, and see if any are showing bare wire. ensure all is wrapped securely

Sounds like a different cluster installed in the car? or is it original? If it's not original, the year is likely different, and the wiring is different. you can either swap the green film like 94rs said, or swap the gauges themselves (since I'm assuming that's why you swapped clusters if you did) into your original cluster housing, both methods will fix the issue.

Everything was working on my stock cluster except for when i hit vtec the rpm gauge would cut out but i think that is because i dont have my crank sensor hooked up and thats what it feeds off of
