Crap, seems like the primary O2 sensor has gone. Dont know why, I dont drive the car hard except during autocross. Anyone have any experience of why an 02 sensor fails on them? its got about 30k mi. thanks for the help.

 

Could also be that one or more of the wires are shorted or rubbing somewhere.
Have you been changing headers or cats lately?

 

your ecu is no good if it is throwing a code 1 u might have to get a new ecu code 1 means bad ecu!

He might have a point here.

 

and what causes a bad ecu? this is got to be covered under warrenty right?

 

Take it in and have them take a look at it.
After all it seems like you're still in warranty.
