Default CA Octane reduction . . .

(Draw your own conclusions, I don't know if I believe it or not . . .)

[James Pung [jpung@2xtreme.net]:
I just called, and it is true. They are saying they have to comply with
some sort of california clean air legislation or something like that. This
is not something that is in the works, but IS going to happen on
8/1/2001. I strongly urge everybody to take action and not treat it as a
hoax! I just talked to a lady, forgot her name, and said it is going to
happen. We can also fax a list of names to a fax number she gave me. Fax

It's always the shady ones that end in "This is 100% legit," "This is the truth," or "This is not a scam," etc. etc.

I don't live in CA, but if this were true, I think this would have a negative impact on the state, gas stations, and oil companies. Doubtful. They'll raise prices to $10 a gallon before that happens.

No offense, but you are just as bad as the person who sent this to you.

Dont you think someone would take the time to get the name, before they went and sent this kind of message???

Just another BS chain mail

are there *ANY* drawback (besides cost) to using octane boost as opposed to just using higher octane gas?

I get the NOS stuff with Nitromethane when I'm at the track - I add it to Chevron 94. Just want to eliminate detonation at all costs.

I just bought 2 bottles of 104+ Octane Booster...hope it works!
I think higher Octane gas is BETTER for the environment which would mean that stupid chain letter is BS!

That is NOT A HOAX...this is 100% true! No bullshit guys!
