My stock battery lasted 5 years, and died, so I got another Acura Battery and that lasted 5 years and is dead again. This time I decided to find a cheaper battery, but everything around here at Walmart and Meijer and Autozone only have 1,2,3 year warranty batteries and at that they're still $70-$100.
At the dealer they're at $107.
I cross referenced the part number 31500-SR1-100M to a local Honda Dealer's parts website, and its $68. This is the same battery, right? The part numbers don't vary between Acura and honda, right?
Thanks

They're all the same, as noted above. There's no such thing as a "Type R battery". Look it up in Acura's parts catalog and it will show the same part number and description ("31500-SR1-100M BATTERY (51R/500AMP85)") as for a non-Type R Integra. For that matter, there's nothing special about Acura's batteries. You can use any brand of battery; just make sure you get Group Code 51R, which is the battery's size. The better quality batteries usually come with longer warranties.
Every time I shop for batteries for one of my Integras, I always end up going to Costco. They sell batteries under the name of Kirkland, their house brand, made by Johnson Controls, one of the largest manufacturers of batteries in the world. I bought one there for $37 a few years ago, but I think it's now up to around $50 or so. It comes with a 100-month warranty.
