Default Alignment specs for the track

I tried a search and couldn't come up with ANYTHING so if this has been covered before then someone needs to fix the search function.

Anyway, I'm interested in knowing how people have altered their alignments for the track. I know there are many variables that go into the "perfect" setup for a specific track. I'm just looking for some ideas.

I hope this will turn into a useful discussion, as I'm sure there will be many opinions on this subject.

This really depends on how your car is setup suspension wise, what tires you plan on running, and how much street duty it will see. In general, you want to add some negative camber all around and a bit of toe out in front.

My GSR with 400/550 ERS, Kumho V700s, and no real street use is set up as follows:

Front: L/R
Camber: -1.6/-1.1
Caster: 3.7/4.1
Toe: -0.05/-0.05

Rear: L/R
Camber: -1.1/-0.9
Toe: 0/0

The car is about 23.5cm off the ground from the top of the fender wells. I have yet to corner weight it and adjust the left to right camber from the way I had it set for the Eibach Pro-Kits. Once I do that, I hope to get the camber as close to -2.0 in the front and -1.75 in the rear as I can. The ERS setup is new, so I am still playing with it.

By "track" I hope you meant road course, it not, then ignore what I said.

Me:

front:
1/16" toe out total-2.4 degrees of camber
3.3 degrees of caster

back:
0 toe
-1.3 degrees of camber

I run the Skunk2 arms swapped left/right.

Hey Warren .. with the added caster ofthe A-Arm swap, do you still need that much nagative camber in the front? Are you running on Kuhmos or Hoosiers? 225s right?

Yeah, more caster is good. 3.3 is relatively small. My E30 runs 8.5 or so.

I plan on lowering the car a bit. I'm higher than stock right now. Should get me some more camber up front. 225 Hoosiers, was on 205 Kumhos.
